So about 2-3 days ago there was a 5.9-magnitude earthquake in Virginia. Rumbles were felt across the U.S. East Coast from North Carolina all the way up to Toronto early Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2011, afternoon . I was working in Manhattan at the time, on the 9th floor when I thought I got dizzy. When my co-workers started saying do you see the hangers moving, I ran out and didn't know what was going on. My building is right across the street from the Empire State Building, so the thought of an earthquake in NYC was a thought in the back of my mind.
Today, Sept. 27th, we are in the middle of Hurricane Irene WITH Tornado warnings :(
This thing is about 600miles wide, winds right now of 100 mph MAX. We have about 6 hours until it fully hits my area. Crossing fingers we don't get tooooo much flooding or tornadoes. Kinda scared.
Not liking this weather. Storms are getting pretty serious. Earthquakes?? Really!?!
Also, there was a 2.6 earthquake right outside of Albany, NY a few hours ago. :/

They did say on the news that years ago, a state on the east coast had an earthquake and about 2-3 days later a hurricane hit the same areas affected by the earthquake..Freaky huh!?

To be continued tomorrow.
